When my husband was in school for Graphic Design, I was intrigued watching him design. So slowly I started working in Photoshop, trying to teach myself! It was a long process! But I finally got to the point where I was confident in my ability to maneuver the program.
It has been a great asset as I’ve designed mock-ups for my fonts, tested repeating patterns for fabrics, and edited designs. I’ve also loved designing invitations for weddings, baby showers, and birthday parties!
After I was comfortable with Photoshop, I ventured into Illustrator and began learning how to navigate through that. This was super helpful when I started making fonts! Recently, I’ve ventured into creating SVG cut files and I am excited to explore making those!
I was hesitant to dive into these programs as they are vast. But I’m super stubborn, and worked my way through them! I love being able to integrate my lettering into illustrations and drawings to create fun new products!
